Rex Sealants & Packaging, Mumbai

Office Interiors

Originally used as a dyeing workshop within an industrial setup, this trapeze-shaped space had two exterior walls and a low ceiling height.

The Approach: The walls overlooked tree tops, so we opened them up with large windows to bring in natural light. Setting one side of the windows free, and the other lined with private offices served as a win-win for both the employers and employees.

Tata Consultancy Services, Bhubaneswar*

Corporate interiors

A tech campus set on the historic land of Orissa demanded interior design concept, coordination through architectural, structure, MEP and acoustic engineers.

The Approach: This is one project where team work and solidarity superseded the expanse of this 50 acre IT campus, which included office buildings, training center, cafe and a multipurpose hall. We delivered through tight schedules and deadlines, prepare bid-construction drawing and construction administration, a possibility only possible with great team work, dedication and support for a Gold certified LEED project.

Elevator Lobby*

Tenant Improvement

The challenge was to upgrade an elevator lobby of an old building, while ensuring to abide with green sustainable solutions.

The Approach: From selecting materials and color schemes, views, drawings for permit and construction and construction administration, we used a versatile material palette that adhered to all the sustainable methods of construction. We added elements of color and structure to upgrade the old building to a sense of freshness.

Workplace Strategy

This campus is an example of applying workplace strategy. From discussing data analysis of mobility, we had to create solutions that were seamless enough for various staff teams to consolidate in one building efficiently.

The Approach: We conducted focus-group exercises to find a creative, strategic solution. The highlights were grouping teams, such that they were one sustainable team and to provide them with flexibility, mobility, teaming and private zones. These findings were translated into 'neighborhood' spaces and further designed.

Cummins, Pune*

Workplace Strategy

A few working groups from Cummins were spread across the geography of Pune, however, they were planning to move into a building which houses the test cells and offices in order to increase work efficiency between engineers and factory work group. The goal was to provide an analyzed creative solution to integrate groups to achieve maximum efficiency and employee interconnectedness.

The Approach: This was a process that was translated into workspace sharing ratios to derive mobility zones to allow maximum employee flexibility, through series of focus group interviews and group activities. At the end of the survey and data analysis, we planned 'neighborhood' for set number of employees, with maximum flexibility,

creativity and natural light. Private zones for one, two, three or multiple people meeting/teaming rooms and to work with engineering parts around desks. These neighborhoods also hosted social and private spaces.
